2023 DINING OUT FOR LIFE WILL TAKE PLACE ON THURSDAY, APRIL 27TH,
Dining Out For Life® is an annual fundraising event involving the generous participation of volunteers, corporate sponsors, and restaurants. The concept is simple: Restaurants, bars, and coffee shops donate a generous percent of their sales to DAP Health, and we fill participating locations with community members who want to support the mission of ending HIV. Participating is even easier: On April 27, 2023: Dine Out to End HIV.
This is a powerful story about the impact of generous restaurants and our local community. Palm Springs is the smallest participating market, but because of their commitment to DAP Health, we were second in overall fundraising in 2022. No other market can boast the level of commitment shown in Greater Palm Springs.
“Few other events bring DAP Health closer to our tap root of community action," DAP Health CEO David Brinkman says. "DAP Health was founded on unconditional love and guided by community members who defined and funded solutions to help those in need. I hope the community shares our great sense of pride in being home to the top three fundraising restaurants in North America for the three year in a row."
Think globally, act locally.
Each year, more than 50 local HIV service organizations partner with 2,400+ participating restaurants, 4,100+ volunteers, and 300,000+ diners to raise over $4.5 million for people living with HIV/AIDS in the United States and Canada. Best part? All funds raised through a city’s Dining Out For Life event stay in that city to provide help and hope to people living with or impacted by HIV/AIDS.
Thanks to the generous support of participating restaurants, volunteers, and members of our beloved Coachella Valley community, Dining Out For Life Greater Palm Springs has grown to become the second-most-successful market in the country. In 2022, 68 desert eateries, bars, bakeries, and coffee shops participated to raise $207,000 — more than San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, and other large urban centers.
This year, we expect more than 12,000 philanthropic foodies will choose to dine out for life at breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner. That’s a lot of starving mouths to feed.
The funds support the work DAP Health does every day to end the HIV epidemic and care for individuals living with HIV.
