Behavioral Health

Essential Therapy from Wherever You Are
DAP Health and the Department of Behavioral Health are proud to offer in-person psychological services, as well as, Virtual Visits and phone visits via your laptop, tablet, or smartphone.
“Therapy is a gift we give ourselves to promote our own well-being and wellness in times of stress,” Dr. Jill Gover, Manager of DAP Behavioral Health
DAP Psychotherapy Eligibility Widened For Community
Increasing access to psychotherapy, the DAP Behavioral Health Clinic has opened up Virtual Visit therapy services for anyone who is appropriate for outpatient therapy. Unlike before, you do not need to be a current client of DAP’s health center to access this service.
How can therapy improve my overall health?
Like nutrients for our bodies, therapy builds resiliency in us to cope with multiple stressors in these challenging times. By accessing therapy from California licensed clinical psychologists at DAP, clients develop their own tools for living that improve the quality of their lives.
I’ve never had psychotherapy at DAP – what should I expect?
You and your therapist will collaborate to identify presenting issues, goals of therapy and timelines for achieving those therapeutic goals. For most clients, 12-to-15 weeks of therapy is optimal. Others might need up to six months of therapy. Many come back as needed.
