The Future of Healthcare Has Arrived at Desert AIDS Project.
Two New Clinics Open March 2
As part of DAP’s capital campaign expansion, we are excited to welcome clients into our two new healthcare clinics, located next to our main building on the DAP campus.
These new clinics reflect DAP’s move to the Patient-Centered Medical Model of care, which has proven to greatly improve health outcomes for the communities we serve.
Starting March 2, 2020, healthcare teams will see clients in the new clinics, which we have named the Blue Clinic and the Green Clinic.
The DOCK (including Trent Broadus, Nurse Practitioner), Behavioral Health, Dentistry, Wellness Services, Walgreens, and LabCorp will remain in DAP’s main building located at 1695 Sunrise Way on the corner of Vista Chino and Sunrise Way.
How will our patients know?
In addition to daily social media posts and MyChart communications, we developed a variety of digital and printed tactics to communicate the opening of our new clinics. Please see examples below.
We've added weekly tours!

The Seven Chakras
The Sanskrit word Chakra literally translates to wheel or disk. In yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda, this term refers to wheels of energy throughout the body. There are seven main chakras, which align the spine, starting from the base of the spine through to the crown of the head. To visualize a chakra in the body, imagine a swirling wheel of energy where matter and consciousness meet. This invisible healing energy, called Prana, is vital life force, which keeps us vibrant, healthy, and alive. Click here to learn more about Chakra from the Choprah Center.
Green Chakra - Anahata - Open Yourself to Love With the Fourth Chakra. Release anger, jealousy, and fear—and make way for love and compassion when you open your heart chakra.
Blue Chakra - Vishuddha - Speak Your Inner Truth With the Fifth Chakra. Learn to listen and express yourself from a higher form of communication through the throat chakra. When it's open, it's easier to be truthful to both yourself and others
The blue and green clinics are inspired by the 7 chakras.

DAP Campus Wayfinding Signs
Wayfinding signage around the DAP campus exists to help our clients and patients find their way around the DAP campus without lengthy explanations or complicated maps. With signs to guide clients and patients along the way, they should be able to find their destination with ease.
