Psycho-Social Therapy

Any group focusing on both psychological and social aspects: age, education, marital and related aspects of a person’s history; referring to the mind’s ability to, consciously or unconsciously, adjust and relate the body to its social environment. Helps people develop the social, emotional and intellectual skills they need in order to live happily with the smallest amount of professional assistance they can manage. Psycho-social intervention uses two strategies for intervention: learning coping skills to help handle stressful situations and environments and developing resources that reduce future stressors.
